Michael Douglas wished to have a “critical” loss of life scene in 2023’s Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and requested his character be killed off.
Because the actor promoted his Apple TV+ sequence Franklin, Douglas opened up in regards to the Marvel movie during which he performed Dr. Hank Pym. Forward of the third movie within the Ant-Man saga, the actor stated he requested for his character to die.
“This truly was my request for the third one,” Douglas stated on The View. “I stated I’d prefer to have a critical [death], with all these nice particular results. There’s bought to be some unbelievable manner the place I can shrink to an ant dimension and explode, no matter it’s. I need to use all these results.”
He continued, “However, that was on the final one. Now, I don’t assume I’m going to point out up.”
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania was directed by Peyton Reed and written by Jeff Loveness. The movie starred Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Jonathan Majors, Kathryn Newton, David Dastmalchian, Katy O’Brian, William Jackson Harper, Invoice Murray, Corey Stoll and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Douglas originated the position of Hank Pym within the 2015 movie Ant-Man and would reprise it in 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. His final look as Hank Pym was in 2023’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
